People say that you can only meet others as deeply as they’ve met themselves. That’s the nature of life; you take it as it comes. Poetry, often seen as one of the most challenging forms of expression, delves into the depths of the human heart. They say writing poetry isn’t for everyone, and I agree. But to let the rhythm flow, you don’t have to be a poet. Poetry is as simple as life and as complex as our understanding of it.

Poetry adds depth to our souls, allowing us to release our angst and process the world in its entirety. It helps us confide in the universe with open arms and wounded hearts.

As in the words of N.H. Kleinbaum,

“We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for”.
