Sajjal Anwar

Introduction

Hello readers, I am Sajjal Anwar, a poetic prose writer. My writing style is in the form of stories that are brutally honest, explicit, and sentimental. My poetry is a work of fiction where I go beyond reality and explore the darkest fantasies, which keeps me sane to deal with reality and its worries. I write in a raw, profound manner that invites readers to explore emotions that are often unspoken. Some of my writing is a bit paradoxical, which makes you question your beliefs. However, you can read my work in two anthologies: It All Breaks You/Hijr and The Writer’s Write/Qissa.

Works

The end is near, so does the beginning

The reverse countdown has begun
The end is near, and the beginning too.
Two worlds will collapse, and the whole universe will suffer.
The one unholy mistake, and humanity ended in a whirlpool of blood….

The warning sign is amidst in between us.
That has blurred our vision to see past and future.
The moment of the present has become a holocaust.
Trillions of human beings have been martyred, and only vision has taken over.

The hunger for more, more, and more…

The world has become a dark hole
Which has engulfed humanity
And the black hole is slowly turning into a dark, deep hole of hell
Where Satan and his followers live
Beneath the Earth

God is watching but doing nothing
Satan is playing his last dice
The end is near, Cherub shrieked from paradise.
God smirked
and said for those who follow Satan

Beginning

Thinking of death is so horrifying
when you are happy, when you want to live more,
You are not ready to leave your loved ones
But sometimes,
Thinking of death is so satisfying
Sometimes, it helps you, gives you hope.
Death talks to you
I will come and take all your sufferings from you
and provides you a solace.
Sometimes,
it is your only companion
who takes away all your problems
and gives you a new life.
Death is actually not an ending
It is a NEW BEGINNING
With old you

A strong urge to taste love, turned into a lust of flesh

It’s so watery inside; it’s so sweaty outside
There are dewdrops on top, running downward,
There are white pearls inside, flowing like waterfall
It’s so sticky and nasty, but it feels so good,
when your limbs drenched in it.
The sound of splashing begins in a humming way,
It gradually starts with a pop sound,
The noise increased as tapping on the skin,
It apparently feels like rumbling, deep pitter-patter sounds.
Love-making is so erotic, painful, pleasurable, and full of horror at the same time.
The voices of groans increased; all senses are asleep, and only one sense is awake.
A sense of deepened Love
Heart beats like a drum; one organ engulfs another organ as the hinge of the door,
The sweetness of saliva turned into a bitter taste,
The body is in pain, pain of love stretched, then relaxed in between and calm now.
Your soul touched the softness of clouds; everything began to feel again,
All senses are working now, heart rate slows down, eyes are widened, shiny now.
The dryness lost the friction; the body feels rough, tangy, and the ripples inside the pool are gone.
Everything feels ordinary; the body stickiness feels like algae, and the organs, are swollen.
It happened now; accept that, as it’s human nature to be lusty and in love at the same time.

A mermaid's martyr

Every gesture of love I cherished by you was not love; it was the venom of your body.
I thought you were showering your love on me.
Ah, stupid me, and how clever you were,
you took my sweet water,
and turned me into an ugly mermaid
You made my sweet river into malicious and poisonous water.
with the single drop of your venom.

The angels are gone, and birds do not visit my realm anymore.
The visitor is only you and your people; they belong to you.
Spreading the fungi everywhere and taking the light from my kingdom
You took my bright yellow melons and left dirty stains of your feet.
Ah, stupid me and how clever you were,
You took my honey and left me barehanded.

I have left nothing here except to wait for you; no one dares to enter this palace.
No human being, no cherub, no angels, nor any bird.
God left me to die here in this poisonous lake, full of green fungi and bad odour.
I can’t cherish the moments of beauty and nature that you have forbidden for me.
Ah, stupid me and how clever you were,
You took my realm of paradise and thrown me in your hell.

I, the Goddess of Paradise, left with nothing but your illusion of beauty, that I am beautiful.
I am worthy of your love; I forgot the connection of evil eyes and lovers.
You have made me a dirty and ugly mermaid of hell.
Mermaids are the curse given by Satan on this world, belonging to nowhere.
I thought, I am a beautiful princess, but I was the abandoned species of paradise.
Ah, stupid me and how clever you were…

Shadow

My heart is deadly open as an earthquake cracked a land,
Blood has been soaked as sand absorbs water drops and dried in sunlight.
Veins have been shrunk like a dead body rotting if it did not get buried on time.
The protective cage has been broken, and the heart is in terror of dying as birds fear the hunter.
The doors are no longer locked.
The walls have been destroyed.
The spark has been gone.
The rooms no longer exist.
Ahhhhh!
My heart aches in dark attire, wide open courtyard, pleading for help.
How could darkness help?
It can’t help me because darkness desires brightness.
and you have become a sharp laser, where darkness can absorb light
and become nothing but a human shadow.
